I did make a very uninteresting video showing the shrinkage in action on a pair of scissors. However, 1.6mb is too big for my dial-up connection to upload via email so I left it. A couple of times I melted the braiding a little but not severely. You just have to be careful.

Finally, I went round carefully connecting, checking and rechecking the power connectors. The last thing you want is 12V going through the 5V or Earth line on you HD. Here you can see most of the completed set of cables.

I only had enough braiding (~3ft = one unit ordered) to do one chain of power connectors. The other one does get used so I couldn't just tuck it out of the way. It's still there and it's still ugly. It does show you the contrast between braided and unbraided through. So this is what my case looks like now:

You can see the ATX cables and the ugly 2nd chain of PSU connectors. Just above the CD drive is the transparent Fan Bay I made recently. This case is on its way to looking seriously nice.
