Conclusion

This board is a solid no nonsense product, with exceptional performance considering the low price tag of £69.99. It is ideal for home users who play the odd game, mid range workstations, and the gamer or overclocker on a budget. It outperforms the nforce 2 intergrated gf4MX by a long way, and is a much better bet for those who want to play games but are reluctant to spend money on a graphics card. This board is a lot of gaming grunt for the money, and is great value. This board is not as good as it gets however, the Xabre 200 GPU is exactly the same core as the Xabre 600. The only difference is the 200 runs at 200mhz, and the 600 runs at 300mhz. Looking at the typical 3dmark results of the xabre 600, if this board had a 600 onboard, it would be getting in the region of 10000 3dmarks, which is plenty for all but the most performance mad. ECS would only have a simple soldering job to do to produce a Xabre 600 version of this board. If they do, it will change your ideas about onboard video forever. As it stands, this board is the best performing all in one setup I have ever seen.

We give the ECS K7S7AG a Spode's Abode Recommended award!
