The 120 GB Samsung ATA 133 Hard drive is notable because it provides much better performance than the Maxtor Diamondmax of the same capacity.

This is also a cool running hard drive, only reaching 39 degrees, even after hours of testing. Cool temperatures should generally equate to better reliability. The drive is just as quiet as its SATA sibling, which makes this drive quite an attractive package, combining reasonably strong performance with low noise and heat output. Price per Gigabyte is 51p, which is not as good as some of the larger drives on test, but with a purchase price of £56.98, this drive is definitely the best budget buy.
