Inside The Musketeer

The lid was rather hard to get off, I had to resort to levering at it with a screwdriver once I had undone the five fixing screws.

Everything inside the Musketeer is mounted on a large PCB, with a white plastic reflector behind the gauges, which also serves as a mount for the sliders. There are a total of six backlight LED's, two for each dial. The sparsely populated board means that replacing the LED's with some of a different colour would be an absolute doddle for anyone with soldering skills. The modding potential is huge, and will be the subject of a future article.
