Ready to go
Annoyingly, I had to move my network card to accomodate this beast, therefore
taking up two extra expansion slots rather than one. I think it's just because
the solder points on the NIC were quite protrusive. Here's the inserted card,
ready to boot up. The whole thing is rather chunky looking. The heatsink is
only attached by that clip on the back of the PCB. It weighs a couple of hundred
grams at a guess so I don't think it's likely to cause damage. The whole installation
process took about an hour (I forgot about the grounding plate so I had to undo
all those nuts on the headers again. In case you're confused, there's a couple
of Thermaltake heatsinks stuck on various ram chips and things on the card -
these are old mods of mine from spare stuff I had lying around.

So how does it perform?
