Test 2 - Notebook, IBM TP600
After the first test, we tried the Activator on an aging IBM TP600 (PII-266MHz)
notebook.

The Activator, before application.

The Activator, fitted.
Without the Activator, the notebook battery lasted roughly 13 minutes on idle
in Windows XP, and around 5 minutes using Prime95 torture test. We felt this
was an ideal candidate for testing the Activator. This time we looped the discharge/charge
cycle 10 times, aiming for a better result than seen in the first test. Alas,
neither the times for idle nor full load improved at all!
Batterylife explained this disappointing result by claiming that some IBM Li-Ion
batteries have an extra layer of shielding that stops the effect of the ions
from the Activator.
Conclusion
Based on our testing, it is impossible to recommend the Batterylife Activator.
We have seen no useful effects on what we believe to be two prime candidates
for such a product. At €7.99, it's not even worth purchasing on the off
chance it might work. Save your money and buy a new battery, or perhaps some
magic beans ;)
