Beantech Igloo 10 OB

The Igloo 10 is set apart from the other Igloo models by its Perspex door on the front. Unfortunately, the door feels cheap and flimsy, and serves no real purpose. Like the other Igloo cases, the Igloo 10 includes a clever system for retaining the CD-ROM and Floppy disk drives. The drive slides into position as normal, and then is held by sliding over the locking mechanism, which inserts two prongs into the screw holes. The sliding mechanism is held by pushing down a locking catch. This holds the drive securely, even though it is only held on one side. Unfortunately, the convenience of fitting the drives is marred by the complex procedure for removing the drive bay covers. They are secured by two thumbscrews, which require you to remove both side panels and the front panel for access.

The Igloo 10 includes the same fans and fan controllers used in the other Igloo cases, but the Perspex door will restrict airflow somewhat. At £98.69 inc VAT, the Igloo 10 is not good value. The same amount will get you a Thermaltake Tsunami or a Coolermaster Praetorian, both far better quality cases.
