Lian Li 6070A

The Lian Li offering follows the same tried and true pattern as every Lian
Li before it. The chassis is a simple affair, with no attempt at fancy tool
free devices beyond the provision of thumbscrews. The noise reduction claims
that the case makes on the box should not be taken too seriously, since the
case only sports 3 pieces of sound deadening foam, compared with the 16 that
the Acousticase uses.

These thin layers of foam on the side panels and roof will only suffice to
compensate for the very thin aluminium used for the panels themselves. The PC-6070A
uses the standard Lian Li cooling set up, with a single Adda 80mm fan at the
rear and two at the front. It does not include the 3 speed switch for the front
fans which most Lian Li models have. The only front panel connectors are a pair
of USB ports.
The front panel door is a single chunk of solid aluminium, and opens and closes
with a satisfying clunk. The 6070A may be short on fancy features, but the build
quality is excellent, and the simple styling is very appealing. At £140.98
inc VAT, this is one of the more expensive cases in the group test. The 6070A
is not good value for money, but it is worth every penny if its good looks take
your fancy.
