Poseidon water cooling kit

This time around Studiedata ApS sent me a complete Poseidon watercooling kit for review. The kit is made by Korean 3R Systems, and can be found here on their home page. The kit is also known as the ”Aphanix Iceberg 1”, but both kits seem completely identical except for the box they are packed in. I must admit I like the name Poseidon better, as it’s the name of the Greek God of the Seas – a fitting name for a water cooling kit.

The kit is meant as a cheap but reliable water cooling solution for beginners. It doesn't promise high level performance or great overclocks but it will get you started on watercooling without emptying your pockets completely. It comes with just one cooling block, so there is no northbridge/VGA/harddrive cooling included. (These can now be bought separately from the kit)

The Poseidon comes in great packaging. However, the pump is packed separately from the rest of the kit.

The kit includes:

  • 1x Aluminum CPU block
  • 1x Aluminum Radiator
  • 1x Polycarbonate Water Tank with lid
  • 1x Socket A clip
  • 1x Pentium 4 adapter
  • 1x Sicca Micra water pump
  • 1x 80 mm fan
  • Hose, clamps, rubber gaskets, screws and a manual

It should work well with:

  • Pentium/AMD K6 (Socket 7)
  • Pentium 3/Celeron (Socket 370/FC-PGA)
  • Pentium 4 (Socket 478)
  • Duron/Athlon/XP (Socket 462/A)
