Onward to the testing!

Test bed:

- AMD Barton 2500+
- Abit NF7-S
- 2x 256 MB PC3200 dual channel RAM
- GeForce 4 TI4800SE 128 MB
- Chieftec midi tower

I ran 2 sets of tests - one test at default speed and voltages, and another test at overclocked speed and increased voltages. I was able to overclock the CPU to 2354 MHz @ 1.825 Vcore set in BIOS. At this speed, the CPU is running faster than any AMD XP CPU you can find in stores today! Impressive, to say the least.

I used folding@home for 1 hour as stress testing to indicate full load. Water temperature was measured with a digital thermometer in the reservoir.

The performance charts (with 12V fan and 7V fan settings):

As you can see from the charts above, setting the fan to 7 volts does add a few degrees to CPU temperature. However, I think a lot of people may choose the 7 V setting, because it does make the fan less noisy and the few degrees you lose are a small sacrifice to make if silence is important to you.

I'm quite impressed with these temperatures, because not only is the WaterChill kit cooling the CPU, it is also cooling both the north bridge (which is known to run hot on nForce2 based boards) and the video card. Even when highly overclocked, the temperature never rises to a critical level.
