Work out where the T-Piece for the filling tube will go. Now you can work out how long each section of hose needs to be. Do not try to measure, just hold the tube up to the connectors, and mark it off with a felt tip.

Before you push the hoses onto the connectors, remember to thread the jubilee clips over the end. If you are having trouble getting PVC hose to stretch over a connector, then chew on the end, or hold it over the spout of a boiling kettle. This softens the plastic, making it flexible enough to stretch over larger connectors.

Each and every joint should have a jubilee clip on it. Tighten them all up with the biggest screwdriver that will fit the grub screws, to ensure they are watertight.
