How easy is it to set up Vanilla? Also how much space does it take up? I'd like a very basic forum (i.e. vanilla Vanilla). Looking at the extensions you have installed, I think the following are probably useful:
    Add Comments
    Applicant Email Verification
    AutoP
    CAPTCHA
    Discussion Filters
    Duplicate Email Check
    New Discussions
    Notify
    Page Manager
    Participated Threads
Poll (but can we set it so only moderators can create them?)

It's amazing how many of these are necessary!

Vanilla is extremely easy! It took me five minutes to setup. The applications are easy too - upload them, then click install in vanilla and you're done!
It really is VERY easy to setup. I don't think you will have any problems whatsoever. (y)

You know what. I look back on some of the stuff that I'd post on Spodes Abode, back when I was known as aghastpumpkin. And I'd say about 75% of my posts were either pointless, outright wrong, and at times come across even offensive.
I have to say, going to University changed me. Most notably because, hang on, EVERYONE else around you is either equally as smart as you, or smarter! Brings you down to earth - you're no longer Mr Smartie Pants.
I'm really grateful you guys have let me sign up here - and I am happy to help out with any problems that people have that I may be able to help out with.
    Cheers! (b)

As a community, we're always happy to welcome anybody who wants to have a civilised discussion about anything at all (but we're all a bit techy anyway). I don't think anyone has said this yet, but welcome back and I'm sure we'll have a better experience this time round. :)

edit - but let's keep it on topic eh? ;)

Hows the install going, may I ask what it's for?

Vanilla is very easy. But I found I had to modify most of the extensions to get what I wanted. Little things, like tweaking Polls etc.

But BlogThis works a dream :)

Install it on a subdomain and give it a fiddle!

'tis for a forum for prospective students and freshers before they arrive at College (we're rewriting my College JCR website).
