at PC World.Spode managed to get Ubuntu to work on my laptop, but he didn't have the time to get the built in wireless working. Am currently using a USB wireless adapter.
Any idea on how to get it working?
Possibly some use of ndiswrapper. You'll be better having a look in the Ubuntu forums, no doubt the same problem has happened before to someone an the Ubuntu forums are infinitely helpful.
Yup, I figured the same! Odd though, because it install a restricted driver, that I assume is for the wireless...
To get it installing, I booted the LiveCD, and then for some reason X kept crashing. I edited the xorg.conf and dropped the refresh rates on the monitor and restarted X. Worked fine after that! Then I had to do the same once installed, by setting it up with the correct graphics driver and monitor.
