As I have had a fair number of years not being able to read due to my poor close up eyesight that the usual double glazing of the eyeballs can't cure, I signed up for a downloadable book website. A good one that's very reasonably priced and no strings attached.
I've now almost listened to nearly all of Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. All unabridged and brilliantly read by Stephen Briggs or Nigel planer (Neil of the "Young ones" fame) This Guy can make you crease with laughter, bring you to tears and be so poynient. It's amazing stuff, brilliant in fact.
If any of you have read his literary efforts you will know what I mean. If not try starting at the beginning with "The colour of magic" and then it's followed very closely by "The light fantastic". In fact it's really one book.

There are thirty odd books in the Discworld series and all are great fun and very enjoyable. So if you haven't tried reading for a while, Mr Pratchett my start you off again. :D

I've been meaning to read some Terry Pratchett for a long time, but never had the time. I've never read any, but I think I ought to start at the beginning. I'll see if they're in the Melbourne city library...

Ideally Lawrence all of them should be read in order as they do have a chronological element to them. Apart from the first two, all of them are a good read on their own.

You should try and get hold of "Ed Reardon's Week". It was a series on Radio 4 - very funny. I've got the MP3's recorded, but I can't imagine it would be legal for me to send them on.
