Some of you might have noticed that I haven't been posting on here as much. The reason for this is I have been concentrating my efforts on thinkabouttech.com in an effort to get the ball rolling, so to speak.

As the site is in its early stages, it's very fluid and could go in many directions. I already have a number of things I want to implement to the site, and will be in the near future. I am getting more and more writers signed up and when I feel we have enough, I shall have an official launch at a London venue.

So where does this leave Spode's Abode, I hear you ask? Well, the site will *not* disappear, but I imagine I will start covering more non-technology topics, or merely taking a different angle to that I would give on TAT. At some point, I imagine I will integrate a news feed from TAT to this site.

Naturally, I'm coding a fair amount improving TagThis, BlogThis and other extensions and these will also improve Spode's Abode as well as contribute to the open source community.

    It is?

Nothings changing - if anything I'll be writing more, you'll just find it on TAT instead of SA.

It's hard to know what to post where. I looked on Tat and thought, "what an idiot I would look posting here among all these exalted ones". Obviously nice guys, really clever and work/worked for some of the best manufactures. It's way out of my league!

SA, OK we can chat about anything here, I hope. But, can we still talk about and ask questions on tech stuff, especially computers, or do we have to use Tat for tech? I frequent no other computer sites such an Bit tech, I don't find the "atmosphere" very good and it's hard to actually get to know anyone on them. They are all so stuffy, self opinionated and sometimes rather sarcastic. Not for me are these places. BTW, the comment from the guest about disappointing was not me. I'm not entirely sure what they actually found disappointing?

You are obviously working very hard on your projects and I admire you for it, but please don't let Spode's abode fade away in to oblivion. This is a great place and I would count most of the people as friends, some I don't know so well. Overall it works very well, even though it's sometimes a little quiet. Perhaps you see why I feel as if I'm fading away. It may be that I'm just being left behind?

Coyote, there will be *plenty* of posts that won't be relevant for TAT. As it is, my posting is minimised because I've been spending more time coding - which also benefits Spode's Abode, as the same extensions are used here. If anything, it's been quiet in here because nobody else is posting - not me :)

I can't imagine I'm going to post random pictures of Ian Hislop or other such things on TAT :D Don't worry.

One of the reasons I chose Vanilla is that because it's not just a Blog with comments - it is still a discussion forum. So nothing will change in terms of the discussion topics. Post your topics here, as you always have done.. This is still my home!

Honestly - I'm not sure any of you will want to post on TAT, but you'll certainly want to read it. But you might want to link to the posts here and talk about the topic in a less pressured environment :)

AFA who is disappointed - if I knew who it was, I might get some context.

Thanks for sorting that out Spode and I wasn't commenting on your lack of posting, I know you are a busy man.
