Good grief, is is ever going to stop? I don't mind normal rain that much, but the last few months the rain seems to have gone mad. A massive downpour on Saturday night made the valley gutter leak right where the extension joins on to the old part of the house. Being on my own at the time, I had to do something to stop the waterfall in the kitchen.

Looking out of the bedroom window, I could see the valley gutter outfall was partially blocked with leaves and the plank the builders left in it had silted up the other end. No choice! I had to climb out of the bedroom window, in to the gutter to clear it. What a stinking wet mess. All this 'orible sludge had caused the valley water level to go above the flashing and pour through.

This is never a problem with normal rain, I can see in future if this keeps up I will have to have some building work altered as it's also making the old blocked off chimney leak down in to the wall. The best bit was trying to get back in to the window and leaving slime marks on the laminate floor to the bathroom. YUK! :|

It is pretty nasty - I'm popping out for a driving lesson in it!

It's the best time to learn in the bad weather and in the dark. after that, everything else is easy!
I love drifting as well Ivan, great fun, so long as you don't get caught. :D

Can you send some rain over here please? We're desperately short of water... It hasn't rained properly in over 7 years!

You're very welcome to it Lolly, if you can arrange it, please help yourself! It seems we have your share as well.

My next door neighbour drifted his monster truck around a local roundabout with me in it the other day...

That wasn't something I've done before...

    And yes, it'd been raining.
