Does anyone use Freecycle? I discovered a while ago but only just started using it. I have got myself a free bike already to ride around Melbourne :-).

For the uninitiated, Freecycle is a really good idea. It's a message board where you can post if you want things or want to get rid of things and if someone else has or wants those things you can hand it over for free. This keeps lots of things out of landfill and is a good way to get free stuff! You can find a local group at freecycle.org.

I'm sure there is a thread about this in the old forum - I've been using it for ages. Although it's a good reminder that I could put a note out for a car stereo!

I did use it to scout out for a desk but I never actually got anything.

You could put a WANTED request if you are still looking. I like my shiny new bike :-)

Actually I went to a local thrift shop and found a solid wood desk. I paid $20 USD for it and I refinished it in a brick red color for my wife. :)

I've been using it for aaages too - got some nice big picture frames. Still havn't decided what picture to put in the remaining one (a family member "clumsied" one of them)
