I'm looking to buy another player. I'm looking at the SanDisk sansa view 32gb, and another Cowon D2 or S9. Any comments on these units, or something else your enthused about?
I am really liking the Cowon s9 but my friend just got an ipod Touch that is increasingly peaking my interest. I have been looking at something that can play movies and have even considered a generic mp4 player with a 3" screen.
Still doing a little more checking, any thoughts on the Zune?
I finally decided on a Sansa fuse, it's 4 gig player. I bought it from Newegg for $40.00, it was recertified. It has the simplest user interface I've ever used. It also has a micro sd slot. I had to return my I audio 7 (Cowon) for repair. They returned it as fixed, but it was doing the same things. I have sent it back again, with the request that they load some music on it and at least run test it before returning it again. I was going to go with the S9, but now I'll wait to see how there repair goes. The S9 is $220.00, I spent $200.00 on the I audio 7, it lasted about a week over a year. I want to be sure they can service what they sell.
As with most stuff like this, I treat Stuff Magazine as my bible
Here's what it had to say (prices in GBP obviously, but I would have thought the reviews will still be useful)...
For the S9 (http://stuff.tv/Review/Cowon-iAudio-S9-8GB/):
PROS
Stunning video from AMOLED screen. Fantastic sound quality. Excellent battery life
CONS
Not cheap. Unintuitive interface. Confusing software. Limited storage
The D2 was released over 2 years ago, back when it was competing against the iRiver U10 - are you sure you want to go for that when things have moved on so much?
What about the Zen X-Fi? http://stuff.tv/Review/Creative-Zen-X-Fi-16GB/
And as ever, the iPod Touch and iPod Classic are always options.

I still like the D2. It's more than what I need.
It took 2 tries for Cowon to repair the Iaudio 7. In the mean time I picked up a Sansa fuse. The Iaudio 7 is a quality unit lots of storage 16 gigs. The battery life is about 16 hours. The interface is ok, but it took a while to figure out. The Sansa fuse is 4 gigs, but has a micro sd slot. A 2 gig card was $8.00. The interface is super easy. As far as battery life its about 8-10 hours. Over all I'm using the Sansa more for listening and the Cowon as back up.
I am still happy with my Sony NWZ-A815 but my RockBox'd Sansa E200 series is a close second.
