Here is the best photo I've managed to get out of the built-in camera on my Sony Ericsson K800i...

This was taken off the coast of Wales, near Cardigan. Camera was the Fuji FinePix s7000.

Sproose, I've been quite impressed with the quality of pictures on my K800i - I didn't bother repurchasing my Pentax after it was stolen, because I felt it filled the gap.

They can be OK, but I'm quite picky about my pictures and I find that It doesn't produce blacks very well. There is too much noise in a lot of my photos when using the K800i. I'm hoping to get a professional camera for my birthday as the Fuji is nice but far from perfect...

Totally. But if you compare to any cheap point and click, they are quite close. Good enough quality for every day snaps. Then I have my Canon 300D SLR for when I want to take anything better. I'd quite like to upgrade that at some point.

Oooh, nice :) Ive thought about getting a nice fountain pen for myself, but it falls into that category of "it'd be useful, but I can't quite justify the expenditure"! :(

I do as little writing as possible, so there is no way I could justify a fountain pen. I have a couple of really nice ball point pens that have been given to me from various hardware manufacturers, and they do me fine :)

Well, it is important that we all remember Terry Pratchett's insightful words:
“The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp.” :)

Or, thanks to google (and perhaps more apt for this forum):
Dale Dauten - “It's called a pen. It's like a printer, hooked straight to my brain.”

I am a pen junkie, sort of. This is actually the second fountain pen I have owned. The first was a cheap plastic thing that leaked everywhere. That was several years ago. I just got into the habit of logging everything I do at work. I wanted it to be a hard copy though. Unfortunately this pen is just a bit too broad of a tip for writing in my log book. I prefer my .3 mm Pilot Hi-Tec-C gel pen for the log book. Writing in my journal is a different story. :)

I tend to use my fountain pen a lot to take lecture notes, write cheques, etc. I still write a lot!

I like to chew pens and play drum solos on my desk with them... oh and sometimes even write with them!
