Here's a pic I took in Outer Banks, North Carolina this summer. Really nice beaches, just watch out for traffic.

Hey, you were in my brother's neck of the woods. Well, pretty close anyway. :)

That's on my dream list of things to do - Spend some time living and surfing on the outer banks. Never even been to the US.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAY! My new lens turned up today. It's a minolta 35-105mm F3.5-F4.5 with dedicated macro mode switch. And, what with me being geek to the very core, I couldn't help but try out the new shiny thing...

The light was great that day - and it was raining (although it was just stopping when I took that shot)...

"Attempt" suggests you're not happy with the results - why on earth not?

Macro photos always remind me that I need to dust more often.

I need to retake this one, maybe with evening/late afternoon light the sky totally blew out. The sun was rather bright this morning. Took it on my way back to the office after a A/V setup for some management seminars being held at an out of the way place. :D

I need to start being a little more proactive with the manual adjustments on my camera. Not totally happy with the exposure on this shot. Auto mode just cant handle bright sunlight well. I did a little post processing to try and make it look purposeful. :P

CB, I can drive my car over those mountains. :P Actually, if you look at the leading edge of the mountain you will see a horizontal white line. That's Rim Road. Takes you along the edge of the mountain. It is also where I proposed to my wife. :) If you look back where the farthest TV transmitter is, below it, is another road that takes you to the east side of the mountains.
