We've never had a women as a presidential candidate before. In Cleveland we did have a women as mayor. I wasn't impressed with her. What's your opinion on women in leadership positions? I need to vote in a primary soon and I don't like what I'm being offered as choices. Hillary Clinton is probably the more qualified, Barak Obama talks well but I'm not sure he could actually do anything. :S

I wouldn't want to make a sweeping statement about "women" in anything. It would be on a candidate by candidate basis. A good leader is a good leader, regardless of sex.

Well said. I feel somewhat the same. I guess what I was asking is M.Thatcher was in office there for a while. Do you think she was a good p.m. Was her sex an issue at some point. I'm not sure America's ready for a women in the oval office.

I think I was a little young at the time to really pass judgement. Frankly, people blame whomever is in power...

I think most people had more issues with her policies than the fact that she was a woman, but since I'm even younger than Spode...

I don't see why it makes any difference though.

I don't think America is any more ready for a woman than a man. (y)

It woul be interesting to see if the feminine touch makes any difference if she did become president.
