What a weekend, we got hammered by snow this weekend. It started snowing friday afternoon and didn't stop till sunday morning. With drifting I had almost 3 feet of snow in spots. What's the worst snowfall you have had to deal with?
The worst snow I've experienced by far is Edinburgh slush!
Cold, dirty, very good at getting you wet, and not snowballable
I guess the worst I've dealt with, was in Italy with my parents. But then they carry snow-chains in their car just in case! Great for tobogganing though ![]()
Oh Bill, that sounds awful. I hope it doesn't cause you too much of a problem and it thaws very soon. I hate snow, it can turn your word very cold and sour. The last really heavy snow I can remember was way back in 1967 I think. Our giant snowballs lasted well in to the summer, mind you, some of them were over 8' high and looked like giant roulard cheeses with the grass that was ripped up when rolling them. I can remember it taking about twelve of us little kids to get them that big!
Snow is fun for young ones, but no fun at all when you have to get to work and shop etc. Take care Bill and summer is coming. (I hope)
I did notice the weather was a bit rough this morning,
it may be some consolation to Bill that he's not the only one having a bad time. How bad was the weather at your end of the county Spode?
Well it's been on and off raining, but interspersed with amazing sunshine. I spent all of yesterday riding - including an hour in the pouring rain ![]()
Ahh, that's how you wash your bike. ![]()
Fortunately I bought a John deer Garden tractor with a plow package. I spent about 5 hours at various times over the weekend plowing. This was the worst snowfall of the winter. We had the grandkids for the weekend so it was a fun time. Lilly is becoming quite an artist.
Luke was in a great mood so time passed well.
