General: Kilo-what?

I love XKCD and I have to hold myself back from posting all their comics on here. But I felt this one suited the theme of my blog quite nicely, and made me giggle too.

And while linking to other people, Phoronix has a piece explaining how XRandR is being including in Ubuntu Hardy Heron for resolution changing. This can only mean good things! Looking forward to the next release guys

I chuckled at the KiB imaginary Kilobyte, the square root of minus 1, 1024 Bytes. We used to ass about with this at collage. (Not the Byte bit) I or J as I remember, (All those years ago when I had a brain that worked.) I never could understand how an imaginary number could do so much? All very amusing Spode, thanks for the laugh and the useful link to Phoronix.
